Hi, I'm Isabel
I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida and I am the youngest of 3 siblings. My family is originally from Colombia, South America and I grew up in a very loving bilingual home. I became interested in photography in High School when I joined the photography club. I was a shy teenager and the camera always gave me a sense of security. I loved observing and once I got a camera in my hand I began to document the world around me and the rest is history.
My Passions
I am very passionate about following your dreams and doing what really makes you feel fulfilled and happy. I love listening to people’s stories and sharing those stories through my lens. I love traveling, documenting the world around me!
Shortly after I studied photojournalism in Florida, I had the honour of working at Miami Herald Newspaper. There I had the opportunity to work with pulitzer-prize winning photojournalists and my passion for documenting began! My biggest accomplishment to date is my bullfighting documentary, where I spent 5 years between Colombia, South America and Spain documenting the culture of bullfighting. From that documentary project, my book Sol y Sombra was published., where I had many exhibits and won numerous recognitions and awards. I have also been a staff photographer for Die Welt, world recognized German Newspaper. There I had the opportunity to document many important current events, traveled to exotic places and photographed many famous politicians, actors and musicians. I also worked with Associated Press.

I have been photographing weddings for over 15 years now. My documentary photography experience always helps me to be a part of your special day and document it as natural as possible without interfering. Each wedding is unique and I love to meet each couple, hear their love story and share it through my lens. I would love to meet you, learn about how you met, fell in love and I would be honored to share your love story.

I love traveling, learning about new cultures, meeting new people and hearing their stories. I am very down to earth, open-minded and friendly. I love spending time with friends and family.

Sol y Sombra
my book
Sol y Sombra is a photo documentary in honor of the bullfighting culture, from the bull farm to the bullfight and everything in between. I spent 5 years traveling from South America to Spain to document every aspect of this mysterious and yet magnificent world!
